Madison Street's No Parking Signs Have Been Successfully Removed
Dear West Central Association members and friends,
We are happy to announce that Madison Street's no parking signs have been successfully removed. The parking box has not been updated yet to reflect the change.
The removal of the signs came on the heels of a 2016 Metropolitan Planning Council area parking study commissioned by the WCA. The study recommended removal of the no parking signs along Madison Street to benefit businesses located on the street. The signs did not allow any parking on the north side of the street from 4-6 p.m. and on the south side from 7-9 a.m. The Alderman and CDOT heard the concerns of the business community, and helped make these positive changes possible.
We would like to personally thank Alderman Daniel Solis, Alderman Walter Burnett Jr. and the Chicago Department of Transportation for supporting Madison Street's businesses.
Thank you,
Rod Burch
