Dear West Central Association members,
As the Laquan McDonald trial continues and Chicago keeps its eyes on the Leighton Criminal Court Building, the West Central Association urges our members to stay aware and be prepared.
You can find live trial updates here.
The District 12th police force will be monitoring the trial and publishing updates on Twitter for West Loop residents. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Police Department will be expanding shifts and canceling days off for the entire 12,000-person department during the trial.
We will be working with both the police and the Aldermans’ offices to ensure that our members are continually updated on any potential damage to property in the area.
If you want to contact your local alderman or police department, please find their information below.
